Terms of Service

1. Appointments & Cancellations:

  • All grooming services are by appointment only. Please book your session in advance to ensure availability.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, kindly provide at least 12 hours notice.

  • You are allowed to reschedule your appointment once. If you do not reschedule within this time or miss the rescheduled appointment, the deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required for future bookings.

  • Late cancellations and no-shows will result in forfeiting the deposit.

2. Payment & Deposit:

  • Payment is due at the time of service. We accept Cash or PAYNOW.

  • A non-refundable deposit of 40% of service booked is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. The deposit will be deducted from the total service charge on the day of grooming.

  • Prices for services may vary depending on your pet’s breed, size, and grooming needs. A full breakdown of services and pricing will be provided upon booking.

3. Health & Safety:

  • It is your responsibility to inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or behavior issues your pet may have.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if a pet is deemed unsafe for grooming due to behavioral issues, health concerns, or any other factors that may put the pet or the groomer at risk.

  • Please ensure your pet is up to date on vaccinations (e.g., rabies) before scheduling an appointment.

4. Grooming Process & Additional Charges:

  • De-matting and de-shedding services will incur an additional charge. This fee will depend on the extent of matting or shedding and will be discussed before grooming begins.

  • Any additional requests will be considered during the grooming session and may incur additional charges.

  • While we strive to ensure your pet is comfortable, some pets may have a mild reaction to grooming services such as slight discomfort, and we will take all necessary steps to minimise this.

5. Aggressive Pet Charge:

  • If your pet exhibits aggressive behavior that causes the groomer to stop or adjust the grooming process, an additional charge will be applied. This charge will vary depending on the severity of the aggression and the time required to handle the situation safely.

6. Liability:

  • We take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet during grooming. However, by booking an appointment, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks in grooming, including but not limited to cuts, nicks, or accidental injury, and you release The Yellow Groomer from any liability related to these risks.

  • Any pre-existing health conditions or injuries that become apparent during grooming should be brought to our attention as soon as possible. We will contact you immediately if we notice any issues during the grooming session.

7. Pet Behavior:

  • We reserve the right to stop the grooming session if your pet becomes too stressed, aggressive, or unmanageable. In such cases, a partial charge may apply for the time spent, and we will discuss a plan for future grooming.

8. Privacy & Confidentiality:

  • We respect your privacy and will not share personal or pet-related information without your consent. All data provided will only be used for appointment scheduling and grooming services.
